The Role
Headteacher - Windsor Olympus Academy (Sandwell)
Now in our third year after opening, our first free school, Windsor Olympus Academy, is a "shining example" of innovation in action. Located in the heart of the community, it is already becoming a vital civic anchor supported by state-of-the-art facilities. As Headteacher, you will lead a passionate team to continue building a legacy rooted in high expectations and a deep sense of belonging.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership:Develop and implement a clear strategic vision and School Improvement Plan (SIP).
• Teaching and Learning:Secure and sustain effective teaching standards, utilising national benchmarks to drive student achievement.
• Curriculum Development:Lead the implementation of a broad and balanced curriculum, including the ASPIRE curriculum and the WAT Pledge.
• Staff Management:Lead, motivate and develop staff through high-quality professional development and an effective appraisal system.
• Community Engagement:Build strong partnerships with parents and the wider community to enhance teaching and community cohesion.
• Accountability:Provide objective advice and performance data to the Director of Education and the Local Community Committee.
