Finance Assistant (Hybrid)

I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established group organisation based in Glasgow City Centre, who are looking to grow their finance team. This is a successful, close-knit and fast-paced environment, and they are seeking a candidate who thrives under pressure and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.
This role requires someone who can manage high volumes of transactions accurately and efficiently, working across in-house systems, Sage 50 and Excel.
Hours:
Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week
Flexible working between 8:00am and 8:00pm (hybrid working available)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Processing high volumes of financial transactions accurately and within set deadlines
* Handling and transferring large sums of money with precision and accountability
* Completing high-volume bank and account reconciliations
* Investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
* Extracting financial data and preparing reports for the Finance Manager
* Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls
* Liaising with internal departments to resolve finance-related queries
* Assisting with audit preparation and documentation where required
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role
* Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
* Confidence in handling large monetary values
* Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 and Excel
* Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
* A proactive and organised approach
