Hours: 13.50, Part-time, term-time only (before and/or after school sessions)
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7.30 - 9.00am and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 3.00pm - 5.15pm

Mellor Primary School is seeking an approachable, proactive and committed individual to join our team as an Out of School Care (OOSC) Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children in a safe, nurturing and fun setting outside of regular school hours.

About the Role:
You will be part of our wraparound care provision, supporting pupils before and/or after school. This includes helping plan and deliver engaging activities, preparing healthy snacks, and ensuring a calm, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and care for children aged 311 in a safe and stimulating environment
Plan and lead fun, meaningful activities that align with our PERMA-V values
Support children’s wellbeing and social development
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues
Help with snack preparation and setting up/clearing away activities
Promote positive behaviour and inclusive play
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
Has a genuine interest for working with children
Is caring, reliable, and proactive
Is a strong team player with good communication skills
Is aligned with our school’s PERMA-V ethos and approach to wellbeing
Holds or is working towards a relevant childcare qualification (Level 2/3 desirable)
Has an understanding of safeguarding and child protection
