As a Minor Works Supervisor you will support the Minor Works Manager in delivering maintenance, refurbishment and small construction projects across the Mount Pleasant Complex. You will supervise multidisciplinary trade teams, coordinate project delivery and maintain high standards of safety, quality and customer service. Projects typically range up to £25,000 and cover all key building disciplines.

What You Will Do
-Supervise electrical, mechanical, painting and building fabric operatives to deliver minor works safely and on time

-Support planning, programming and prioritisation of work across the estate

-Help develop scopes of work, job packs and basic project documentation

-Monitor onsite progress, ensuring teams meet specifications, procedures and quality standards

-Liaise with stakeholders and departments to coordinate access, scheduling and issue resolution

-Promote continuous improvement through mentoring and on the job training

-Carry out inspections to verify quality, identify risks and ensure CDM and health and safety compliance

-Maintain accurate records and ensure all activities meet MOD and JSP requirements

-Raise material requests and support procurement to ensure resources are available

-Contribute to estimates, labour planning and schedules

-Provide technical support and guidance to operatives and subcontractors

-Act as decision maker during Minor Works Manager absence to maintain service continuity

-Support investigation and resolution of defects, snags and customer issues

-Promote safe systems of work and compliance with statutory, company and environmental standards

What You Bring
-Strong background in construction or building maintenance, ideally in military, public sector or large estate environments

-Experience supervising trades teams or coordinating small works

-Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, painting and building fabric disciplines

-Clear communicator with the ability to lead, motivate and support a diverse team

-Willingness to learn and undertake additional technical or supervisory training

-Able to produce simple scopes of work and support basic planning or design tasks

-Strong organisational skills and able to prioritise across multiple jobs

-Confident using Microsoft Office and Maximo, and comfortable with digital reporting

-Familiarity with MOD estates and JSP standards is desirable but not essential

-Commitment to safe working, quality workmanship and good customer service

-Full driving licence
