We have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 physiotherapist to work at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The post is a Band 6 which will be based between Hexham General Hospital and Haltwhistle Memorial Hospital.
The successful applicant will join our friendly teams and predominantly be working between stroke and care of the elderly with some weekend Orthopaedic commitment.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience as a Band 5 Physiotherapist in orthopaedics, elderly care, Neurology and respiratory.
The successful applicant must also demonstrate excellent communication skills with both the multidisciplinary team and peers. There must be evidence of continued professional development demonstrating experience to support applications.
Applicants will be expected to participate in our 7-day working rota. It is noted that in the future some posts may not be traditional Monday to Friday as we embrace full 7 day working.
It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role. However, the Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role.

• Accountable to the Team Leader and ultimately Clinical Manager.
• Rotations, when appropriate, are set at six or eight monthly intervals.

• To assess, diagnose and treat an independent clinical caseload within the specialities
• To work as part of the physiotherapy team under the guidance and support of more experienced highly specialist senior physiotherapy staff.
• To provide a high standard of physiotherapy care.
• To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust.
