A Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) Immediate Life Support (ILS) Course Director isresponsible for the overall management, quality assurance, and compliant delivery of RCUK-accredited ILS courses. They ensure the course runs smoothly, adheres to current RCUK standards, and provide leadership to the faculty. Key Responsibilities Course Leadership: Acting as the lead instructor, managing the schedule, team, and delivery from start to finish. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensuring full compliance with RCUK ILS regulations and guidelines. Documentation & Reporting: Completing and submitting all necessary documentation, including the final Course Director report, via the RCUK Learning Management System (LMS). Faculty Management: Ensuring all faculty are familiar with current course materials, guidelines, and regulations. Candidate Assessment: Overseeing the assessment process to ensure it is fair, accurate, and in line with RCUK standards. Clinical Accuracy: Ensuring teaching aligns with the current RCUK ILS course manual and scenarios.
