About the role
The IT Services department are looking to appoint a highly motivated, conscientious Assistant ICT Technician to provide an excellent customer service experience to all stakeholders whilst maintaining the successful operation of the organisation’s computer networks and ICT facilities. You will be the front-line of a busy helpdesk providing technical support, fixes and resolutions on a day to day basis and play a part in the development of ICT systems in accordance with current policies and procedures.
Duties will include:
Assisting and supporting the IT Helpdesk, maintaining the many job requests and providing advice and training to all stakeholders
Dealing with customer queries and trouble-shooting end user issues on a variety of resources, in a number of locations
Ensuring appropriate levels of Identity Access are maintained for all our systems and processes
Installation of new software and performing upgrades to maintain them to an appropriate level
Setting up audio visual equipment for classrooms and events, both small and large-scale
About the person
The successful candidate will have a keen talent for ICT, professional communication skills with a particular focus on customer service, be strongly organised and maintain a high attention to detail. You will have self-motivation and desire to work closely with colleagues, team members and stakeholders of all levels of ability. Enhanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications would be advantageous as well as previous use of Active Directory or Entra and Intune although this is not essential.
