ROLE: Service Manager
LOCATION: Gloucestershire
SALARY: 45k basic, 60k ote + benefits
HOURS: Monday to Friday 8.00 – 6.00
Flame Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an experienced Service Manager for a main dealership Gloucestershire based.
Our client is a customer-focused, professional garage. They pride themselves on supporting the local community with friendly, professional vehicle maintenance services. As part of a strategy for growth, they are looking for a Service Manager to manage their busy workshop team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of advisors and technicians.
• Price and formulate customer quotes and invoices.
• Organise work schedules ensuring work standards and timescales are achieved.
• Liaise directly with customers and service advisors to keep customers fully informed.
• Source vehicle parts required for mechanical work in the workshop.
• Adapt and track workshop activities to completion.
• Provide technical guidance to the workshop team as needed.
• Drive department performance against budget, identify any shortfall and implement plans to improve the performance
• Maximise customer satisfaction by treating everyone as an individual and delivering an exceptional service experience in line with the Company’s ethos of Driving Excellence
• Ensure the business maintains regular contact with all existing customers ensuring service levels are being met, issues are being resolved and further business opportunities identified
• Provide guidance, training and appraisals to each of the Service team to encourage a forward-thinking attitude which will help them achieve their full potential
• Encourage all staff to recognise additional business opportunities through the use of regular briefings and the implementation of appropriate systems and incentives
• Recruit, select, train and develop staff as required
• Ensure dealer standards are met and systems and procedures are complied with
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Service Manager
• Experience in the motor trade
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to deliver high standards of performance and meet critical timelines.
• Direct experience managing a workshop team with an aptitude for multi-tasking.
• Full driving license.
