Action Staffing is recruiting for a passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join a vibrant setting in Streatham (SW16). This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader who loves working directly with children but also wants to support the management and growth of the nursery.
Flexible Working: We are open to candidates who prefer a 4-day working week, giving you an extra day off every week!
Key Responsibilities
Leadership: Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, deputising in their absence to ensure smooth operations.
Room Based: This is primarily a room-based role, where you will lead by example, modeling excellent practice and high-quality teaching for the team.
Admin Support: You will have dedicated office time (a few afternoons per week) to assist with paperwork, occupancy, and compliance duties.
Mentorship: Guide, train, and inspire the staff team to deliver the best possible outcomes for children.
Partnership: Build strong, trusted relationships with parents and families in the Streatham community.
Requirements
Experience: Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Nursery Manager is essential.
Qualification: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (Level 4, 5, or Degree desirable).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted inspection framework, and Safeguarding.
Attitude: A positive, hands-on leader who is passionate about quality childcare.
Benefits
Competitive Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 per annum (Negotiable for exceptional candidates).
