Are you an ambitious and experienced Early Years leader looking for a role that offers an incredible work-life balance and a clear path to promotion?

Action Staffing is exclusively recruiting for a Supernumerary Deputy Manager to join the beautiful Little Tug Boat Day Nursery in Fulham (SW6).

This is a rare and highly sought-after 100% off-ratio position, allowing you to focus entirely on leadership, quality of care, and staff mentorship without being counted in the daily numbers. Enjoy a fantastic 4-day working week, giving you a long weekend or a dedicated day off mid-week!

Key Responsibilities
Supernumerary Leadership: Support the current Nursery Manager with the operational and commercial running of the setting, completely off-ratio.

Staff Mentorship: Lead, inspire, and train the staff team to deliver exceptional EYFS practice across all rooms.

Quality & Compliance: Ensure the nursery is fully compliant with Ofsted regulations, Safeguarding policies, and Health & Safety standards.

Parent Partnership: Build strong, trusting relationships with parents, handling inquiries and conducting show-arounds.

Transition to Manager: Prepare to take on full Nursery Manager responsibilities by September through a structured handover and development plan.

Requirements
Experience: Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or a highly experienced Room Leader/Third in Charge ready for the next step.

Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare (Level 4, 5, or Degree highly desirable).

Knowledge: Robust understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and Safeguarding.

Drive: A highly motivated individual who is eager to progress to a Nursery Manager position this year.

Benefits
Exceptional Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 per annum.

Work-Life Balance: A set 4-day working week (7:45 am – 6:30 pm).

Career Progression: Guaranteed opportunity to transition to Nursery Manager by September for the right candidate.

Working Environment: Supernumerary status means you have the time and office space to lead effectively.

How to Apply
Roles with this level of flexibility and guaranteed progression do not stay on the market for long.
