THEATRE PRACTITIONER
One Ashford Hospital are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Theatre Practitioner to join our theatre team.
Reporting to our Theatre Manager, our Theatre Practitioner would have experience and skills in Anaesthetics, Scrub and/or Recovery.
This role would be ideally suited to a theatre practitioner who has experience working in a fast paced environment, but is looking for flexibility for an effective work life balance.
Please note: this is a FlexiBank role working on an 'as and when required' basis; you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during periods of annual leave or absence.
THEATRE PRACTITIONER
QUALIFICATIONS
o Registered Nurse with NMC or
o Registered Operating Department Practitioner with HCPC
o Surgical First Assistant Certificate (Accredited University Course)
EXPERIENCE
o A minimum of 2 years clinical experience as Surgical First Assistant / Theatre Practitioner
o Evidence of continuous professional development and its application
SKILLS
o Demonstrable knowledge and skills in a variety of specialties. With will include General, ENT, Gynaecology, Urology, Plastics and Orthopaedics.
o Patient focused, able to deliver high level of customer service.
o Sound written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
o Sound computer skills using MS Office Suite and Compucare(training provided).
o Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business.
o Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
DESIRABLES
o Private healthcare experience.
o Assisting in Surgical Procedures within their scope of practice and training.
