1:1 Tutors required for secondary aged pupils who are outside of mainstream schooling in Devon.

We are seeking Part Time 1:1 Tutors to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing customised academic support and guidance to individual students, helping them to achieve their full potential.

As a Part Time 1:1 Tutor, you will work closely with our client's students, creating bespoke learning plans and delivering engaging, interactive lessons that cater to their unique needs and learning styles. Your primary focus will be on helping students to improve their academic performance, build confidence, and develop essential study skills.

The successful candidate will possess a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for education. You should be able to adapt your teaching approach to suit the individual needs of each student, and have a proven track record of helping learners to overcome academic challenges and reach their goals.

The salary for this part-time position ranges from £25 to £35 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications. The location of this role is in Tiverton, Devon, where you will be working with students in the local community.
- Assess students' learning needs and develop personalised, targeted lesson plans to address their strengths, weaknesses, and educational objectives
- Deliver engaging, one-on-one tutoring sessions that are tailored to each student's learning style and pace
- Monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and adjust lesson plans as needed to ensure continuous improvement
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment for each student
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and any issues or concerns
- Continuously expand your own knowledge and teaching skills by staying up-to-date with the latest educational trends and best practices
- A bachelor's degree or higher in the subject area(s) you wish to tutor
- At least 2 years of experience in one-on-one or small group tutoring, preferably with a track record of helping students achieve their academic goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex concepts to students of varying ages and abilities
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple students and lesson plans
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support and empower students in their learning journeys
- Flexible and adaptable teaching style, with the ability to think on your feet and adjust your approach as needed
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning tools to enhance the tutoring experience
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation, as you may need to travel to students' homes or other locations within the Tiverton area
