Are you passionate about supporting students with severe Special Educational Needs? Do you have experience working with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), nonverbal communication needs, and emotional regulation challenges?
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school's resourced provision in Plaistow. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students with complex needs, supporting their academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and personal development within a specialist setting.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide tailored, 1:1 and small-group support to students with severe SEN

Assist nonverbal students using alternative and augmentative communication methods

Support students during periods of emotional dysregulation with patience and consistency

Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEN professionals, and therapists to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
