Our Management Accountants support the Academies and central teams of the Diocese of Norwich Multi-Academy Trusts in ensuring the accurate and timely budgeting and financial reporting and forecasting for our Trusts, to enable our schools to focus on providing the best possible educational experience for the children in them.
In the role you will be an essential member of our finance team. Reporting to the Head of Management Accounts, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our schools with high quality financial information to enable them to make the best resourcing decisions they can to enable the best possible outcomes for our children.
You will have the chance to build strong relationships across our Education Services Company, our Multi-Academy Trusts, their schools and federations, and the wider Diocese of Norwich family, all of which will contribute to supporting the best outcomes for the children in our schools.
We would love to hear from you if you have an interest in accountancy and financial management, and are looking for a role that not only provides great financial management support to our schools, but also supports the wider community. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel, and be adept at learning how to use new finance systems. You will also have an opportunity to help shape how we make the best use of our system to improve efficiency to keep resources at the front line.
In return we offer a competitive salary, an opportunity for supported professional development (including study and exam support where relevant), access to the Local Government Pension Scheme and a collaborative and supportive workplace. We facilitate a hybrid working approach once our team members have good working knowledge of how we work, with most of our team working remotely 1 or 2 days per week, and coming together as a team on other days to both support each other, but also to develop warm working relationships which we believe helps deliver even better services.
About us:
Immeasurably more than we can imagine!
Our passion and ambition is to see children in all our schools and academies achieve excellent educational outcomes alongside developing and growing into their potential as individuals. Our culture is one of high aspiration rooted in our Christian values. We have a desire to see Norfolk, and our schools in Northeast Suffolk, and its education system recognised as a place of aspiration, achievement and hope whether living in a rural area, coastal community, market town or the city of Norwich.
Established in September 2019, we provide support to the schools in our Trusts, including Finance, Estates, HR and Governance, allowing our schools to focus on what they do best – providing the best possible education standards to all pupils. The company’s objective is to provide high quality, value for money services for all the Diocesan academies and any VC or VA schools who wish to procure their services from it.
Working Hours:
The successful candidate will work Monday – Thursday, 09:00 – 17:00, Friday 09:00 – 16:30.
