Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with the Local Monitoring Committee of Perranporth Community Primary School, are seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed Headteacher to join the team.

At Perranporth School we are passionate about growing young minds and supporting our children to be LEAP learners. We have created our own GREEN Curriculum (Growing, Relevant, Environment, Engaging, Nurture) which offers our pupils a varied and engaging programme of learning that is led by a dedicated team of highly skilled and committed teachers and support staff. We are a warm, inclusive school where every child is known, valued and supported to achieve their very best. We recognise pupils as unique individuals with specific talents, ambitions and needs. Our classrooms are hives of active learning and creativity, led by a dedicated, highly skilled team who work collaboratively to ensure that every pupil flourishes. At Perranporth, happiness, high standards and a genuine love of learning sit at the heart of everything we do.

Our school has 7 classes with around 210 pupils aged 4 – 11 years. It has wonderful grounds and facilities including two play areas, a forest classroom, an adventure playground, a story telling area, a large field, and an amphitheatre. We’re just a short walk from Perranporth Beach with so many incredible learning opportunities in our local community.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have recent senior leadership experience and will share our vision and values. Individuals must demonstrate a significant contribution to primary school improvement and an enthusiasm to embrace the opportunities of leading this already flourishing and vibrant school.
