What skills and experience we're looking for
Woodhouse West is a creative, warm and welcoming school in the South East of Sheffield. We are looking for a confident and resilient Assistant Learning Mentor to join our busy Inclusion team. The right candidate will have good interpersonal skills, high expectations for all pupils and a passion for supporting children’s learning. We value those who have a strong team ethos and are also self-motivated in order to develop themselves alongside the children. Taking an interest in the children and their lives at home is an important part of the work we do and our Inclusion team are vital in building these relationships. The successful candidate will enjoy spending time outside and be creative in planning and running activities designed to stimulate children’s imaginations whilst enabling them to regulate their emotions. Experience of working with children who need help regulating, in a school or similar environment will be beneficial.
