What skills and experience we're looking for

The main areas of responsibility will be:

• The continued evolution and improvement of Teaching & Learning utilising evidence-based research
• Leading change in response to the DfE’s Curriculum and Assessment Review
• Contributing to the school’s ongoing inclusion strategy
• Oversight of the implementation of the school’s pioneering Digital & AI strategy
• Oversight of our Quality Assurance process
• Oversight of Whole School CPD
• Working alongside the Headteacher to deliver our ‘outward-facing school’ strategy
• Leading performance management for teaching staff
• Contributing to the ongoing development of student voice
• Leadership of our Exams department and our Admissions process

The successful candidate will also be able to:

• Demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities and articulate clear values and moral purpose
• Model excellence in the classroom, leading the development of colleagues at all levels
• Promote high expectations in all areas of the school and hold staff to account
• Confidently evaluate performance data and identify priorities for continuous improvement
• Implement change, using research as a driver, and lead teams in delivering measurable impact
• Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with the whole school community – students, parents, governors and colleagues, and beyond
• Evidence successful senior leadership experience as an Assistant or Deputy Headteacher
• Support in the effective implementation of safeguarding practices

The Tiffin Girls’ School is seeking to appoint an empathetic, proactive and innovative Deputy Headteacher, to support our students, who are articulate, motivated and caring, to be the best version of themselves in this vibrant learning community.

The successful candidate will have leadership skills, ideas and drive to support the new Headteacher in continuing to develop our holistic and pioneering education provision, enabling students to grow and flourish.
