What skills and experience we're looking for
• Lead the Science team, fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement
• Support and develop outstanding teaching and learning practises across all science subjects
• Design, develop, and enhance the science curriculum to ensure it is engaging, relevant, and challenging
• Monitor and analyse student progress and outcomes to inform targeted interventions and improvements
• Collaborate with colleagues across the school to promote science and STEM opportunities
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives focused on raising standards and enriching the student experience
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant experience teaching science
• Proven leadership experience within a secondary school setting, preferably in science
• Strong understanding of the science curriculum and assessment requirements
• Experience in curriculum development and staff professional development
• A dynamic and motivational leader with the ability to inspire staff and students alike
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to student wellbeing and raising aspirations
• Innovative thinker with a passion for science education and continuous improvement
