Assistant Management Accountant Full Time Up to £33,000 dependant on experience Newcastle - Hybrid 2 days in Head Office, Longbenton About the role We are excited to be recruiting the new role of Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Our Finance team takes care of things with resilience, commercial knowledge, and an acute attention to detail. Supporting the business in many ways from planning, analysis and procurement to financial compliance, accounting, and reporting (and more!). Based out of our head office in Newcastle upon Tyne, we partner with the business to provide financial support to make the right decisions. Reporting into the Management Accountant, Kayley, this is an opportunity for you to be at the heart of bringing that to life and we need someone who is passionate and has the purpose to make a massive difference, at pace and in an ever-changing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to grow with the business and gain insights, knowledge, and experience from our already established and experienced Finance team. You will be ideally working towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and have a passion for supporting a key function within the organisation. Who we are looking for: As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the Management Accountant and broader finance team to process financial transactions that will enable accurate financial records in BC365 and subsequent reporting on the financial position of the organisation You will support with the preparation of the management accounts at month end and play a role in designing and producing reports to support business information requirements and assist month end and ad hoc reporting as well as producing consolidated annual operating plans (AOP's) and forecasts. The successful individual will be required to deliver high quality services to both internal and external stakeholders and drive continuous improvements through system and process innovation. You will get involved with preparing key information for managers, responding and assisting with queries and supporting them to review and assess their performance against their budget and forecast. Above all you will be a passionate finance professional dedicated to the purpose that Finance has a key role in the future success of the organisation. Your key functions in the business will include Supporting the Group Controller and broader finance team to process financial transactions that will enable accurate financial records in BC365 and subsequent reporting on the financial position of the organisation Supporting the preparation of the management accounts at month end Designing and producing reports to support business information requirements and assist month end and ad hoc reporting Delivering high quality services to both internal and external stakeholders and drive continuous improvements through system and process innovation Producing consolidated AOPs & Forecasts by designing and maintaining high quality reports via Excel and/or Jet Reports Working to become an Excel, Jet and/or Odata expert able to design & build reports as required and to support the broader finance team to achieve their reporting objectives For more details about the role, take a look at the job description About Connect Connect Health is the largest and most experienced independent community healthcare provider in the UK encompassing mental health, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, tier-2 MSK (musculoskeletal), chronic pain, long Covid, First Contact Practitioners (FCP) and rheumatology services, serving over 375k NHS patients pa across 29 NHS ICBs (Integrated Care Boards) Why work for Connect Health?
