Your new company
An established global consumer health organisation is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to support its expanding regulatory function. The organisation operates across multiple product categories. This role sits within a collaborative Regulatory Affairs team based in Reading, close to the station and offering a modern and accessible workplace. They are looking for someone with cosmetics / oral care expertise.
Your new role
As the team's sole cosmetics specialist, you will play a pivotal and autonomous role in ensuring compliance across a range of cosmetic products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading artwork and claims assessments
- Ensuring products meet EU cosmetic regulatory requirements
- Providing specialist guidance to cross‑functional teams
- Supporting ongoing project work across cosmetics and potentially oral care
- Representing the cosmetics (oral care) function within a wider RA team covering OTC, medical devices, and medicines
This is an initial 6‑month contract, with the possibility of being considered for a future permanent opportunity.
The team typically works 2 days per week onsite, but there is flexibility and candidates who can attend once per week or require partial remote work will also be considered.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in Regulatory Affairs for cosmetics
- Strong understanding of EU cosmetic regulations (1223/2009)
- Hands‑on experience with artwork approval and claims substantiation
- Confidence operating autonomously as the only cosmetics expert
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
- Bonus: Experience in oral care regulatory affairs
