Salary: £55,000 + £8,000 Car Allowance
Are you an experienced Electrical Project Manager looking for your next long‑term opportunity? Hays is supporting a well‑established M&E contractor who is strengthening their delivery team across Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of multiple projects, lead skilled teams, and join a forward‑thinking business offering genuine stability and progression.
The Role
As Electrical Project Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of electrical projects-ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest industry standards. You'll manage planning, scheduling, procurement, commercial oversight, and day‑to‑day team coordination. You'll act as the key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring smooth project delivery from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing end‑to‑end delivery of commercial and industrial electrical projects
- Overseeing planning, resourcing, procurement, and financial control
- Ensuring compliance with all H&S legislation and company procedures
- Conducting site audits and reviewing RAMS
- Leading electricians, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Managing client relationships and providing regular progress updates
- Monitoring budgets, variations, and profitability
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within building services, commercial, or industrial environments
- Strong technical understanding of electrical installations and regulations
- Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities
- Confident communicator with strong leadership skills
- Commercially aware with strong budget management experience
- Full UK driving licence
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent electrical qualification)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- SMSTS / SSSTS (desirable)
- ECS/CSCS card (desirable)
