Start Date: Monday 23rd February (after half term)
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm (Part-time or Full-time available)
Pay: £14 - £18 per hour (dependent on experience)
A secondary school in Bradford is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to join their team immediately after the half‑term break. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous school-based DT experience who is confident supporting both staff and students across a busy DT department.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, maintaining, and organising materials, tools, and equipment for DT lessons
- Supporting teachers during practical sessions and ensuring a safe working environment
- Maintaining machinery and carrying out routine safety checks
- Managing stock levels and ordering materials when required
- Assisting with classroom displays and project preparation
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a DT Technician in a school setting
- Strong understanding of workshop tools, machinery, and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Availability to start on Monday 23rd February
- DBS on update service or happy to apply.
