The Role:

Essex County Council (ECC) operates one of the largest Music Education Hubs in the UK through a grant from Arts Council England and is proud to offer a broad, inclusive and high quality music education to the young people of Essex.

The Music Services Administration Assistant will be a member of the core team who provide the capacity to undertake and deliver the administration needed to ensure the day-to-day work continues smoothly. This role will be central to the Service, with a focus on ensuring all frontline delivery is administrated in a timely manner, effectively communicated with customers and will work with the Finance Officer and Administration Officer to ensure accuracy in the collation of all data required.

This role will also take a lead on ensuring the accuracy and continued implementation of the Music Services internal administration system.

Accountabilities

  • Understand the needs of customers and deliver the best possible outcomes through exemplar behaviour in accordance with ECC's Values and Core Organisational Behaviours.
  • Utilise the Speedadmin online administration system, including supporting music tutors and schools with the programme.
  • Ensure strong and timely communication with customers and wider stakeholders.
  • Work as part of a dynamic team to ensure a quality service for schools and the community.
  • Complete delegated administration tasks in a timely manner which enables the business of the Music Service to continue to operate smoothly.
  • Support cross-service partnerships, initiatives and extension projects as required.
  • Support the delivery of all parts of the Music Service.
  • Support on the creation, updating and wide circulation of communications to all our stakeholders and customers.
  • Ensure all work is compliant with GDPR and other data protection legislation.

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Educated to RFQ Level 3 or equivalent by experience.
  • Clear interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience of delivering a high quality, customer focused service.
  • Ability to work without assistance to complete tasks.
  • Experience with working with different software packages.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
