Position: Food Technology Technician
Pay Rate: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Thamesmead, Erith
As a Food Technology Technician, you will be the backbone of the department, working closely with teaching staff to prepare ingredients, maintain specialised equipment, and ensure every practical lesson is a success.

Experience in a food preparation, laboratory, or school technician environment.

Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations (HACCP).

Ability to provide 2 professional references.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Prepare and organise ingredients and equipment for daily practical lessons and exams.
-
Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety within the food rooms, including deep cleaning and stock rotation.

Assist students and teachers during practical sessions, providing technical guidance where needed.

Manage department budgets, ordering supplies, and maintaining relationships with local suppliers.

Perform routine safety checks on kitchen appliances and specialised food technology machinery.
