Weekend Factory Cleaning Supervisor

Location: Mars Wrigley, Dundee Road, Slough, SL1 4LG

We’re looking for a hands-on supervisor to lead weekend cleaning operations at our manufacturing site. What you’ll do

  • Supervise, motivate, and support cleaning operatives to ensure high standards are achieved

  • Allocate shift tasks and ensure schedules are completed in full

  • Monitor cleaning standards through inspections, spot checks, and quality reviews

  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with GMP, SOPs, COSHH, and hygiene standards

  • Maintain audit readiness and support factory inspections and compliance checks

  • Complete and verify schedules, sign-in records, timesheets, and compliance paperwork

  • Monitor attendance, break times, and productivity levels

  • Provide on-the-job training, support inductions, and identify training needs

  • Address performance issues through coaching and escalation where required

  • Ensure equipment is safe, maintained, and ready for use

  • Conduct safety checks, report hazards, and support risk assessments

  • Liaise with site management, hygiene teams, and client representatives

  • Carry the onsite phone when required and respond to reactive or emergency cleaning needs

  • Provide hands-on cleaning support to maintain service standards

What you’ll bring

  • Supervisory experience within cleaning, industrial, or manufacturing environments

  • Strong understanding of hygiene standards, compliance, and safe working practices

  • Knowledge of COSHH, risk assessments, and safe chemical handling

  • Ability to ensure adherence to SOPs and GMP requirements

  • Strong people management and team motivation skills

  • Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving ability

  • Confident completing documentation and compliance records

  • Proactive, hands-on leadership approach

  • Ability to build positive working relationships with site teams and clients
