We are working with a specialist and highly respected civil engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Civil Estimator for their growing team in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business delivering complex ground engineering and foundation projects across Scotland and the wider UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing new work, supporting continued growth, and contributing to high-profile infrastructure and construction schemes.
As the Civil Estimator your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Preparing detailed and competitive cost estimates for foundation and ground engineering projects
* Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, and specifications
* Producing take-offs and pricing schedules
* Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotations
* Identifying risks and value engineering opportunities
* Supporting bid submissions and client negotiations
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
* Proven experience in estimating within civil engineering or groundworks
* Strong understanding of foundation solutions and geotechnical principles
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
