The key responsibilities of the role will be:
• To see new patients and selected follow up patients under senior supervision.
• To maintain case records, complete discharge summaries, liaise with GP’s and other staff appropriately as required.
• To contribute to the provision of high-quality services for people within general psychiatry by continual development of practice in the light of evidence-base, and clinical standards.
• Commitment to maintaining a high quality of service to patients by continual development of practice in the light of research evidence and by audit against clinically relevant standards.
• In addition, individual staff have a role in suggesting and implementing improvement to services and in exercising professional responsibility for both them and their MDT within an open “no-blame” culture.
