Hargrave Hall Community Association is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of people in North Islington and surrounding areas. We provide a wide range of community activities, educational opportunities, and recreational facilities, and we hire our halls to local organisations, groups, and residents.

We’re looking for a friendly, organised, and motivated Bookings Coordinator to join our small team and become the central point of contact for hall hire enquiries. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with people, has a head for admin, and wants a flexible, rewarding role in a community-focused environment.

As our Bookings Coordinator, you will:

- Handle hall hire enquiries politely, enthusiastically, and professionally via phone, email, or in person.
- Arrange and conduct viewings for potential clients, answering any queries and supporting smooth-running events.
- Maintain our online booking system, ensuring all scheduling and information is accurate.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping, including invoicing and chasing payments, using QuickBooks (experience desirable but training can be provided).
- Work closely with the COO and wider team to ensure bookings run efficiently.

This is a daytime role, 12 hours per week, split over 3 days (4-hour shifts, ideally Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 1 years’ experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
- At least 1 year in an office or administrative environment.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with a clear telephone manner.
- Great attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to work independently.
- A friendly, approachable personality and a genuine interest in supporting your local community.

Desirable: Basic experience using QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping software.

Other Requirements
- DBS check required.
- Safeguarding responsibilities and keyholder duties.

- Customer service experience: 1 year (required)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (required)
- English (required)
