The Role – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of engineering projects, leading a small team and acting as design authority. You’ll be involved in concept and detailed design, producing calculations, models, drawings and specifications, and ensuring engineering practices and safety standards are upheld throughout.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead day‑to‑day engineering activities and provide technical guidance to engineers.
• Deliver mechanical system designs including calculations, modelling and BOM creation.
• Act as design authority across assigned projects, ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance.
• Support design reviews, technical documentation and cross‑discipline collaboration.
• Engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support project delivery.
About You – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
• Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer or similar senior engineering role.
• Strong background in mechanical system design within complex engineered products.
• Ability to lead, mentor and support engineering teams.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
