Our client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Design Draughtsperson to be based at their site in Newcastle on a permanent basis.

The Role – Design Draughtsperson
As a Design Draughtsperson, you’ll play a key part in delivering accurate CAD models, detailed drawings, and support documentation to enable successful project delivery. You’ll work closely with Engineers, Project Teams, Procurement and Quality to ensure designs meet specification, budget, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Create, maintain and manage 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Produce parts lists, BOMs and associated documentation.
• Ensure drawings follow internal standards, guidelines, and quality processes.
• Collaborate with Engineers to capture design intent and minimise rework.
• Support design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of draughting practices.
About You – Design Draughtsperson
• Previous experience working as a Design Draughtsperson within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Inventor, AutoCAD or similar CAD packages.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• HND, Foundation Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
