Successful candidates will enter into a robust and varied training programme, delivered and coordinated by our Practice Development Nurse. You can look forward to daily teaching, simulation training, minors skills development and an individualised personal development plan, supported by the PDN and Band 7 leads. Emergency Department experience isnt a requirement but relevant ward/unit based experience is essential and we value all the experience that you have gained in your career. An ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service is essential. Shifts incorporate evenings, weekends, nights and bank holidays. The post holder will provide a high standard of nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care. To work closely with the department / ward manager and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care, staff and service development within the department / ward environment. To carry out all relevant forms of care under supervision and when proficient demonstrate procedures of care; supervise junior qualified and / or unqualified staff including student nurses whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
