Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking to make a real impact on young minds?

We are seeking a motivated and inspiring Secondary Maths/Science Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people.

This role is ideal for a Secondary Teacher with expertise in Maths, Science, or a combination of the two.

Applications will be considered from main pay scale and UPS candidates.

What you’ll be doing as a Secondary Maths/Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths/Science lessons that support strong pupil progress
  • Inspire students and ensure they gain essential skills and understanding
  • Lead the development of Maths/Science across the school, including planning, resources, and curriculum improvement
  • Support staff, direct classroom support, and contribute to training where needed
  • Monitor teaching, learning, and assessment within the subject area
  • Organise enrichment activities, including trips and visits
  • Work with inclusion staff, SENDCo, and the Exams Officer where appropriate
  • Act as a tutor and participate in school-wide development and INSET

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream settings are very welcome.
  • Experience in teaching Secondary curriculum (KS3, KS4)
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods.

Opened in 2015, Arc School Old Arley is an independent special day school situated within a rural village near Nuneaton, affording children and young people the opportunity to take part in a range of activities within the local community. The spacious school environment is bright and welcoming with a variety of different learning spaces inside and outside

Our school has a particular focus on taking learning outside the classroom into the grounds and community beyond and working in partnership with other organisations to enrich opportunities for children and young people.

Arc School Old Arley is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
