BHASVIC is seeking to appoint to the post of Head of Psychology and Criminology. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and manage an exciting, vibrant and diverse team of staff and students. Both Psychology and Criminology are well established at BHASVIC and popular with students, with a record of excellent examination results, and strong extra-curricular provision. The department strives to maintain high standards for students and supports their learning within an aspirational, inclusive and supportive environment.
We are looking, therefore, to appoint a highly organised and collaborative leader who can consolidate and successfully build on this provision. The Head of Department works closely with fifteen other Heads of Department, contributing to the broader strategic and operational business of the college. Weekly one-to-one meetings are held with the Head of Faculty, and there are opportunities to participate in numerous cross-college initiatives within educational research, professional development and other strategic priorities. In short, the Head of Department plays a vital and exciting role within the college management structure.
