Night Duty Manager
Location: Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Near Newport, Shropshire, TF10 9AT
Salary: £13.57 per hour, plus excellent benefitsSchedule: Casual Contract working hours between 8pm and 8am, Monday
- Sunday.

As a Night Duty Manager in our Leisure team, you’ll make sure our facilities operate safely, smoothly and confidently throughout the night. Your work will help us provide a welcoming, safe and positive environment for our local community.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining a high‑quality experience for all visitors during non‑daytime hours — managing activity delivery, supporting colleagues, ensuring standards are met, and responding effectively to any issues that arise. Your work will help create a space where communities feel supported, safe and able to thrive.
What you’ll do as a Night Duty Manager
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Oversee the facility outside of daytime opening hours, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction remain the priority.
- Lead and support the operational team to deliver high‑quality service throughout the night.
- Open and close the facility and carry out security, safety and site‑wide checks in line with Serco Management System procedures.
- Respond to accidents, incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate control and action.
- Provide colleagues with information, instruction, induction and training so they can perform their roles safely and effectively.
- Maintain performance monitoring systems and take action to meet required standards.
Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Experience in facility management, ideally at supervisory level, plus knowledge of Health and Safety at Work legislation.
- Experience of working in a similar operational or leisure environment.
- Strong communication and customer care skills, with the ability to stay calm during emergencies.
- Confident IT skills and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
- A First Aid at Work certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
