Warehouse & Logistics Operator
Location: Livingston
Pay Rate: £13p/h | Temporary to Permanent
Shift: Monday to Thursday Day Shift
We're looking for a Stores Operator to join our busy and fast‑paced logistics operation. You'll play a key role in ensuring the accurate movement, storage, and processing of goods while supporting production, global shipping and overall warehouse efficiency. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude, looking to build a long‑term career within a supportive and forward‑thinking organisation.
What you'll be doing:
- Unload and load goods safely as required
- Book goods into the ERP system and store them in the correct locations
- Pick items for production and label orders accurately
- Carry out regular stock cycle counts and maintain accurate stock records
- Highlight discrepancies, stock issues or damaged items promptly
- Ensure goods are stored appropriately and moved safely using manual handling equipment
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to support operational efficiency
- Operate safely and comply with all Health and Safety guidelines
- Prepare and pack goods securely for transportation
- Ship parts globally using courier portals (training provided)
- Liaise with freight forwarders for road, sea and air shipments (training provided)
- Make recommendations to improve efficiency and add value
- Support a positive and collaborative team culture
What we're looking for:
- A minimum of three years' experience in warehouse or stores operations
- Ability to work well individually or within a team
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Good numeracy and IT skills
- Able to complete paperwork accurately and carry out precise stock counts
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements
- Forklift licence beneficial (but not essential)
