Year 1/2 Teacher | Summer Term Contract |Brighton Area | PAYE

Sussex Teachers are working with a welcoming and well-led primary school in the Brighton area seeking a Primary Teacher for the full Summer Term.

This is a rewarding opportunity to take responsibility for a mixed Year 1/2 class, providing stability and continuity through the summer term in a supportive school environment.

The Role

Full Summer Term (April–July)
Full-time teaching position
Mixed Year 1 & Year 2 class (KS1)
Planning, teaching and assessment responsibilities
Support from experienced senior leadership and KS1 colleagues
Well-established routines and positive classroom culture

This role would suit a teacher who enjoys lower Key Stage 1 and understands the balance between Year 1 phonics development and Year 2 curriculum expectations.

About You

You will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching KS1
Be confident planning and delivering the UK primary curriculum
Understand phonics and early literacy development
Be organised, reliable and consistent
Experience teaching mixed-age classes is helpful but not essential.

MPS up to £261.78 per day (paid weekly via PAYE)
No umbrella companies
No hidden deductions
Pension contributions via NEST
Ongoing support from a dedicated Sussex Teachers consultant
