Crynodeb
Complete a 15-month Science Manufacturing Process Operative (SMPO) apprenticeship undertaking a Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practices for Pharmaceutical Technical Support Services. This includes competency-based training and assessment in the workplace and studying the underpinning knowledge requirements through an accredited training provider. On completion of the apprenticeship there will be natural progression to a role at the full payment for the pay grade. Applicants who are already fully qualified will be paid at Band 3 on appointment. Duties will predominantly include the aseptic preparation of medicines in clean room conditions, worksheet and label generation, assembly, dispensing and receipt and distribution of pharmaceuticals and stock control. There will be some clerical and cleaning duties. The post holder will not have any line management responsibilities. They will assist with the induction, support, and training for Pharmacy Services Assistants and other staff as required to ensure safe and effective service delivery. The post holder will be required to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays on a rostered basis.
