You’ll work closely with young people, carers, practitioners and senior leaders to strengthen participation, champion child-led practice and drive meaningful change. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact on corporate parenting, youth governance and the culture of how we listen to and act on the voice of the child.

What you’ll do:
• Co produce and support delivery of the Corporate Parenting Strategy 2026–2029, embedding rights based, child led practice across the organisation.
• Create inclusive participation opportunities and strengthen youth governance, ensuring seldom heard voices are represented.
• Build positive relationships with young people, carers and professionals to ensure lived experience informs practice, commissioning and decision making.
• Lead “You Said → We Did” activity, capturing feedback, evidencing impact and reporting to senior leaders.
• Promote safe, ethical, trauma informed engagement, escalating safeguarding concerns in line with policy.

What we’re looking for:
• Strong experience in participation and/or advocacy with children in care or care experienced young adults.
• In depth knowledge of UNCRC Article 12, corporate parenting duties, and safeguarding expectations.
• Confident facilitation skills, with the ability to build trust and create inclusive spaces for young people.
• Ability to analyse data, produce clear impact reports and translate insight into meaningful change.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, including presenting to senior leaders and boards.

Why join us?
• A role with clear purpose and direct impact on the lives, rights and experiences of children and young people.
• A supportive team culture with strong senior leadership backing for participation and co production.
• Opportunities to innovate, develop new engagement approaches and shape system wide change.
• Access to Health Assured's comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme to support your physical and mental wellbeing, including 24/7 telephone support, a suite of online resources, and legal and financial advice.
