Job description
Orion Recruitment Solutions Group is working with secondary schools in the Brentwood area seeking a qualified English Teacher for long-term cover.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed practitioner to join a supportive English department and deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential).
Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons
Mark and assess student work in line with school policy
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Support pupil progress and attainment
Contribute to departmental planning where required
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred
Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
Recent UK classroom experience
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two professional references
