Are you an experienced Street Works professional looking for your next challenge? Do you have a strong track record in ensuring compliance and safety on the highway network? If so, we want to hear from you!

We’re seeking a dedicated professional with proven street works inspection experience to join our Street Works Compliance Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the integrity and safety of North Yorkshire’s highways.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

· Carry out inspections of live work sites and reinstatements under the New Roads and Street Works Act.

· Ensure compliance with permits, licences, and statutory requirements.

· Support the Coordination of works to minimise disruption for road users and pedestrians.

· Record inspection results accurately and take enforcement action where necessary.

· Investigate customer enquiries and third-party reports.

· Support winter maintenance operations, including road condition checks.



Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates who:

· Have proven experience in street works inspection or a similar role (highways/civils supervisor).

· Hold a current SWQR supervisors qualification.

· Have strong knowledge of relevant legislation: NRSWA 1991, traffic management act 2004, highways act 1980.

· Have excellent organisational and communication skills.

· Can work independently and as part of a team.

· Full UK driving licence (vehicle provided).
