MRI Superintendent Radiographer.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 8a MRI Superintendent Radiographer to join our friendly and well-supported team. The post holder must be flexible, adaptable to change, prepared to embrace workforce developments and to contribute to an effective and efficient service, delivered through the highest standards of safe, kind and compassionate care.
You will be dynamic, highly self-motivated and organised. The Radiology team are friendly and highly skilled with a commitment to continuing professional development for all staff and active encouragement to be involved in training and audit.
This role is required to oversee the delivery of the MRI service at St. George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The service is delivered across 3 sites with 5 MRI scanners.
The successful applicant will be experienced in all aspects of MRI including specialist knowledge of complex procedures.
They will also be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of MRI safety along with excellent quality control and assurance knowledge. You will have had previous management experience and have the ability to look after the day-to-day running of a busy department, supporting the operational lead superintendent radiographer with a variety of tasks when necessary.
A requirement of the position is a BSC (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent with recent NHS experience ideally within an acute setting. Our staff also benefit from the inner London high cost area supplement of 20%.
