Rugby Borough Council is dedicated to both Community and Colleague growth. With a focus on wellbeing and personal development, we offer a range of career opportunities where you can take pride in the positive changes you help create. Join an organisation committed to the success of one of the Country’s fastest-growing boroughs and the people who make it thrive.
About the role
As a Community Warden you’ll be making a significant contribution to making Rugby a safer and cleaner community to live in by being a recognisable presence throughout the Borough dealing with anti-social behaviour, environmental crimes and carrying out enforcement.
This is a varied, heavily public-facing role that is both pro-active and re-active, allowing you to have a significant impact on the local area through warden service specific duties and also providing services for other teams.
The role requires flexibility in hours and may operate between the hours of 06:00hrs and 24:00hrs covering seven days a week on a shift rota which will usually be available in advance.
About you
You’ll have the skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of people, be able to deal with conflicts if they arise and be able to respond to complaints from members of the public on a reactive and proactive basis.
You’ll have excellent communication, observational and problem-solving skills and be able to work as part of team as well as independently in what can be a physically and mentally demanding role.
You’ll need to pass a security vetting through Police intelligence check and an advanced DBS check and have a full UK driving licence.
