About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join a well-established nursing home near Chippenham. This role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care to elderly residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing.
This opportunity is suitable for experienced Healthcare Assistants, with higher pay available for those operating at Senior Healthcare Assistant level.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
- Assisting residents with meals and hydration
- Supporting with medication administration (where trained and competent)
- Monitoring residents' conditions and reporting any concerns to nurses or senior staff
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date care records
- Promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times
- Supporting social activities and resident engagement
- Working collaboratively as part of the care team
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within a nursing home or care home setting
- A compassionate and professional approach to care
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends where required
