Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Education
Level 2 Qualification in English
An enhanced DBS check, confirming suitability to work with children
Relevant experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in I.C.T. i.e. typing up reports and profiles
Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a team
Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children Willingness to attend courses and meetings, i.e. Staff meetings, Network Meetings and any other training needed to not only further own personal development but also the Pre-school. This will usually be out of normal hours of work (will be recompensed overtime).
Understanding of procedures relating to safeguarding and child protection.
Commitment to complete confidentiality in line with GDPR

Duties

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children in the early years
Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
Provide individualized attention and support to each child
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Observe and assess children's development and progress in order to meet the requirements of the statutory Framework of the EYFS
Collaborate with other educators to plan and coordinate curriculum
Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and incidents
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and well-being both in person and electronically through an online learning journal
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care and to attend to their personal care needs such as toileting and changing nappies as and when needed
