A great opportunity has arrived to join a growing vibrant company as we are looking to appoint a high calibre individual to collaborate with our team of experienced professionals and engineers in a dynamic environment.
We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring all products supplied by Don Valley Engineering meet defined quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project teams, you will help implement robust quality control processes, manage non‑conformances, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The role also supports the ongoing development of the Company’s ERP system, with a particular focus on Quality Management System (QMS) integration.
The successful candidate will need to display the desire, drive, and determination to perform as part of a team. You will be given responsibility requiring you to organise your workload and be proactive. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exceptional experience.
Main activities & responsibilities:
§ Maintain, monitor, and continuously improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
§ Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Company processes and procedures against the QMS
§ Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Project teams to ensure Quality requirements are met
§ Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for non‑conformances and customer complaints
§ Monitor supplier Quality performance and drive improvement actions
§ Identify performance trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives across business processes
§ Analyse Quality performance data and produce monthly management reports
§ Conduct Quality inductions, toolbox talks, and workshops
§ Maintain calibration records and ensure schedules are met
What We’re Looking For:
§ 3–5 years’ experience in a Quality Engineer or Quality‑focused role
§ Background in manufacturing or engineering environments
§ Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality auditing
§ Experience with quality tools and techniques such as FMEA and root cause analysis
§ Understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes (desirable)
§ Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
§ Confident influencer, able to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
§ Highly organised, self‑motivated, and able to manage competing priorities
§ Competent IT skills, including Microsoft 365
§ Full UK driving licence
