Department: Workshop
Reporting to: Workshop Manager & Fabrication Supervisor
Wage: From £17.14 per hour, based on skills and experience
Benefits: Pension, 33 days annual leave (incl. Bank holidays)
Base: Sandall Stones Road, Kirk Sandall, Doncaster DN3 1QR

We are looking for a Plater/Welder, with plating being the main strength, to join our team and build products from raw resources based on a production schedule to ensure all parts fit properly and meet safety standards.
The successful candidate will need to display the desire, drive, and determination to perform as part of a team. You will be given responsibility requiring you to organise your workload and be proactive. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exceptional experience.
Main activities & responsibilities:
Manually weld plate and structural components to high standards of quality.
Carry out skilled plating, fabrication, and welding work including inspection, planning, preparation, and cutting, checking/testing.
Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment to fabricate, repair, maintain and install metal items, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures etc.
Cut and generally prepare required metal/shapes and weld in line with detailed drawings.
Ensure products required for assembly are present.
Inspect and diagnose problems.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience
3+ years’ experience
Willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills and time management skills
Takes pride in their work and adopts a positive attitude to work
Ability to work in a small, cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment
