Lunchtime Assistant (Term Time)
Hours: 11:30am–1:00pm.
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Lunchtime Assistant to support children during mealtimes and outdoor play in a safe and nurturing environment. Key responsibilities include supervising and engaging positively with children, encouraging good table manners and positive behaviour, assisting with basic needs, supporting social interaction, and ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing at all times. You will also help set up and tidy lunch areas, maintain cleanliness, and work closely with the wider nursery team to ensure smooth daily routines.
Candidates must hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. The ideal candidate is patient, approachable, and able to remain calm under pressure, with good communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting young children. Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
