The Role
The Housing Liaison Officer will deliver a comprehensive tenancy management service across Haringey estates. The postholder will support new and existing tenants, manage tenancy changes, respond to enquiries, and maintain a visible presence within the community. The role includes addressing low‑level anti‑social behaviour, supporting tenancy sustainment, and ensuring neighbourhoods remain clean, safe, and well‑managed.

Key Responsibilities
Provide a high‑quality, flexible tenancy management service to residents.

Conduct tenancy checks, new tenant sign‑ups, pre‑termination visits, and accompanied viewings.

Respond to and manage low‑level anti‑social behaviour, liaising with Police and partner agencies.

Support tenancy sustainment, identifying vulnerabilities and coordinating with relevant services.

Carry out routine and ad hoc visits to tenants, agreeing and implementing action plans.

Attend resident association meetings and build strong partnerships with community groups.

Provide advice on housing options, transfers, and tenancy‑related matters.

Maintain accurate records, upload documentation promptly, and manage correspondence.

Understand tenancy law, rights, responsibilities, and enforcement processes.

Represent the service professionally and contribute to performance targets.

Candidate Requirements
Experience working with the public in a service‑delivery environment.

Strong communication skills with diverse communities.

Knowledge of safeguarding and awareness of vulnerability indicators.

Previous experience in housing or a similar environment (desirable).

Understanding of social housing and tenancy management.

Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.

Confident using IT systems, MS Office, and mobile working devices.

Ability to work independently, use initiative, and manage pressure.

Strong customer‑care approach and commitment to service excellence.

Ability to work flexibly, attend meetings outside normal hours when required.

Commitment to equalities and high‑quality resident engagement.
