What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team, working primarily in Year 3. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing at the start of Key Stage 2.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the curriculum, provide targeted support for individuals and small groups, and help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and raise attainment
• Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment activities
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development
• Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies
• Contribute to a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Support pupils with additional needs where required
The ideal candidate will have:
• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within Key Stage 2
• A good understanding of the Year 3 / KS2 curriculum
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A calm, patient and positive approach
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
