We pride ourselves on leading for new, innovative and sustainable products and solutions, both for today and for a new era of building.To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Divisional Financial Controller to come and join our team at our head office in Ibstock, Leicestershire, LE67 6HS.Job Responsibilities:Lead and manage the divisional finance team including training, structure and staff development.Provide and develop key management information/reporting/ analysis to make informed business decisions and to help drive performance improvement.Provide strategic thought leadership andchallenge in long-range planning ensuringthat all decision-making impacting business decisions are reviewed and evaluated to identify financial risks and opportunitiesLead and manage the weekly, quarterly reforecast and annual budget process to drive performance actions and initiatives and coordinate the 5 year strategic plan in conjunction with the Divisional Finance director, highlighting any impairment risks.As a member of the Senior FinanceLeadership team help drive the wider financeagenda and development of the enterprise wide finance function.Interpret, explain and drive performance within the business, working closely with the leadership teams on initiatives by validating, challenging operational targets into executable plansCoordination and approval of all capex projects, and where returns are used to support the investment, validating based upon recognised return criteria (payback, IRR, NPV, ROI).Ensure robust financial controls and relevant operational processes within the BUs and divisional finance teams are appropriate and effective in mitigating financial risk (EG. Cycle counts, balance sheet recs etc)Support the Divisional FD and leadership teams on acquisitions including validating assumptions, DD and supporting integration work steams.Knowledge. Skills & Experience:7+ years Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)Leading, coaching and mentoring a finance team - training, structure and development into a high performing team and ensuring alignment with Ibstock’s values.Previous experience working within the construction manufacturing industryHigh levels of drive, dynamism, “can do” attitude and high levels of self-assurance & resilienceWell-developed skills in communication, presentation, negotiation and collaboration across matrix organisational structures with strong communication skills across both finance and non-financial teams.Forecasting/Planning/Budgeting coordination across multi entity, multi-site, multi-product high volume SKU manufacturingComfortable engaging, challenging and influencing stakeholders across functions and at all levels including up to ELT.Detailed understanding of manufacturing/product costing to drive product profitability and factory optimisation actions by “bringing numbers to life”.Able to work flexibly with different types of organisations (SME) and help create and deliver the transition into a PLC environment as processes, reporting and control diverge.Understanding cost, price/volume/mix/ margin and drivers and influencers of performance and leading on the annual cost/price process.Strong understanding of Financial systems, governance and controls and supporting on system enhancements / developmentsExperienced at coordinating the annual audit to the agreed framework for a number of trading entities.Experience of operating within a Shared serviced operating model and can work, create and manage relative to agreed SLAs.Think you can make a difference?
